On-Farm Pig to Plate Butchery Workshop

In a world where many have lost the connection to the food they eat, we believe in food with meaning and respect. Our pigs spend their days filled with sunshine, fresh air, and noses in the dirt. We are partnering with a farm with similar values.

Andy and Doug from Hand Hewn Farm will be leading this three-day, hands-on intensive butchery workshop with one of our forest-raised hogs. Hand Hewn Farm has many years of experience slaughtering, butchering, and curing their own pork for their families as well as guiding other farmers, homesteaders, chefs, and home cooks through the process at their own farms. It is a valuable skill that has been lost in rural communities.

During this hands-on workshop we will focus on walking through the entire process of how to efficiently, beautifully, and practically take a hog from pasture to plate ethically and humanely.
